Shakira Piggott is an abstract artist, emerging poet, TV production manager, and live art events producer.
A proud WestWords alumna, Shakira has served as a judge for Living Stories: Over the Line…? Anthologies in 2024 and 2025, the Blacktown Mayoral Writing Prize 2024, and the Fisher’s Ghost Writing Prize 2025. Her poem “Lavender” received a Special Mention Certificate in the 2020 WB Yeats Poetry Prize, and she is currently working on her debut poetry collection.
Shakira has exhibited in multiple Group Art Shows (GAS SYD), and her painting “Sacred Land” was awarded runner-up in Zinewest 2024.
Living in a modern world where we feel and transmit frequency in all we do, Shakira works with the vibration of words and colour to rhythmically create poetry, abstract art, and lifestyle products.
